Bluebell Aizle (Eye-zuhl) A Scots noun depicting a glowing hot ember, a burning coal, or a spark. Much of the Glasgow Girls work draws on mythology, spirituality, and femininity. Bluebells symbolises growth, renewal and the close relationship between women and the natural world. Elongated, graceful forms depicted in delicate, illustrative style. Whilst whispering and tactile, Bluebells is an emblem of the independence and creativity pioneered by the Original Glasgow Girls.
