Wee Check Doo’cot (Doo-kuht) The Scots word for a dovecote - a specialized structure or small building designed to house pigeons or doves and figuratively used to describe a pigeonhole, cubby or small recess. A hallmark of Glasgow Style, the artistic movement which enveloped the Glasgow Girls’, their iconic check became a rhythmic, abstract motif carried throughout much of their work.
